AGEnda - Report of the Working Group on Age and Public Appointments
This Report sets out the work and conclusions of the Working Group on Age
and Public Appointments, AGEnda, which was set up in October 2006 by Janet
Gaymer CBE, the Commissioner for Public Appointments. On 1 October
2006 the Employment Equality (Age) Regulations 2006 (SI 2006 No. 1031)(“the
Age Regulations”) came into force. The Commissioner was concerned to
establish the extent to which there was understanding of the relationship
between age and the public appointments processes which she regulates.
