The Office of the Commissioner for Public Appointments - Northern Ireland
There is a separate post of Commissioner for Public Appointments in
Northern Ireland whose role and responsibilities are similar to the
objectives and procedures of the Commissioners for England and Wales and

monitor, report and advise on appointments to some 72 public bodies in
Northern Ireland. Felicity Huston officially took up post on 1 August 2005
after being selected by the Secretary of State for Northern Ireland,
Rt.Hon Peter Hain MP, through a public recruitment
competition. For further details on OCPANI,
